Why a pool cover?
A swimming pool loses 70% of its heat via evaporation. A good pool cover reduces evaporation as much as 98%.
A bubble cover has the advantage that it allows free solar heat in the pool to heat the swimming water. This Solar effect depends on the light transmission of the chosen material. But because the material is rather thin, the pool loses quite a lot of heat at night.
Where in the past you had to choose between light transmission (for free heating) and light blocking (against algae), the new air bubble film EnergyGuard Selective Transmission offers the best of both. The material has a transparent top layer and a very dark blue underlay. The material distinguishes itself by its 'Selective Transmission' properties.
The sunlight consists of a broad spectrum of light waves. The portion of the spectrum that algae grow through is blocked. This allows you to save up to 60% on your water treatment products.
But the part of the spectrum that can heat the water is passed. This allows the water to heat up to 7 °C.
All our bubble films are equipped with Geobubble technology, which means that they last up to 25% longer than with the traditional bubbles.
Benefits of bubble EnergyGuard ST 500 micron Geobubble:
- reduction of evaporation by 98%
- free warming by the sun up to 7°C
- saving of 60% on heating costs
- 60% lower consumption of chemicals
- substantial cost savings and smaller carbon footprint
Pool cover made to measure
All pool covers are made to measure in the form (oval, circle, rectangle with roman stairs etc.) and with additional options (stair cut-out, leading foam edge, mesh piece etc.) as you wish.
